Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our health care team in Pennsylvania. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring proper handling and labeling, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures to collect blood samples from patients of all ages.

- Properly label, store, and transport specimens according to established protocols.

- Verify patient identification and maintain accurate records of all procedures.

- Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after sample collection.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of phlebotomy work areas and equipment.

- Adhere to infection control and safety procedures at all times.

- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

- Assist with inventory management and ordering of phlebotomy supplies as needed.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.

- Current certification as a Phlebotomist (e.g., ASCP, NHA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.

- Previous experience in a health care setting is preferred.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
